Atlanta’s dance scene is vibrant and eclectic, and we are honored to highlight some of the many local dancers that move us with their movements in our ongoing series “Speaking of Dance.” This edition highlights Atlanta dancer and choreographer Jacque Pritz.

“I primarily work in contemporary dance, and I really love the athleticism it takes to roll on the floor, go upside down, partner with another human being where we have to trust and support each other in lifts, or falling or catching,” says Pritz.

Pritz is currently an artist in residence with Rise City Dance and is exploring grief in the body,  how to care for someone experiencing grief,  and how different cultures view life and death.
