The Decatur community enjoys a window into the art of dance — literally — through the annual REEL Art projection series presented by CORE Dance Studio.

This year, CORE Dance welcomes two international artists in a trans-Atlantic collaboration: Atlanta-based painter and installation artist Deanna Sirlin, and Portuguese multimedia artist and performer Nuno Veiga, visiting from London. They’re presenting the short film series “3 Scherzi 4 Strata,” projected on the storefront windows of the CORE Dance Decatur studio from dusk until midnight, and will participate in an in-studio screening and discussion on March 8.

In this interview, Sirlin and Veiga join “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes, along with CORE Dance Artistic Director Sue Schroeder, to talk more about the 2024 film series and the intersection of dance and digital technology.
