In Atlanta’s Downtown area, unoccupied, empty storefronts were once a common sight. Less so today, as the neighborhood has undergone radical change and reinvigoration over recent years.

To keep the energy flowing and the city’s beauty on view, “Downtown Windows,” a new initiative from Arts and Entertainment Atlanta, has identified a handful of vacant storefronts ideal for public art displays.

This year, a small group of curated artists will set up interactive exhibitions, sculpture, photography and more in these spaces.

In this interview, Fredalyn M. Frasier, Project Director of Planning and Urban Design at the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District, and participating artist Bojana Ginn join “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to speak more about the project.
