In 1980, Carolyn Long Banks was the first African American woman elected to serve on the Atlanta City Council, where she would serve until 1997.
She joined WABE’s “Morning Edition” to talk about receiving the Atlanta Business League’s highest honor this week – being inducted into the 2021 Women of Vision Hall of Fame.
