While reflecting on Atlanta’s Black business infrastructure and ecosystem, Jabari Young, a senior writer and editorial lead for ForbesBLK, says Atlanta is the place to be.

“You can’t even find a place better than Atlanta at this present stage,” said Young. “I’m not even going to lie. I love D.C., and I’m from Philly—but Atlanta is where it is.”

In an effort to bring Black business leaders, entrepreneurs and entertainers together to discuss several business-related topics, Forbes is hosting its inaugural ForbesBLK Summit in Atlanta on Nov. 5 and 6 at the Southern Exchange Ballrooms.

The summit’s theme is “The Future of Black Entrepreneurialism: Convening Culture, Creativity and Community.”

On Thursday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Young talked with show host Rose Scott, about the summit and the importance of fostering an environment that allows Black entrepreneurs to learn and ask questions about a variety of topics, including combating systemic barriers, building social capital and pitching their business to gain venture capital funding.

You must be 21+ years old to attend the in-person portion of the event.
