Fulton County District Attorney Discusses Charges Against 6 Atlanta Police Officers

Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard announced Tuesday that several Atlanta police officers are now facing charges after video emerged showing a group of authorities dragging two college students from a car and shooting them with stun guns.

The students, 22-year-old Messiah Young and 20-year-old Taniyah Pilgrim, were stuck Saturday in traffic caused by protests in response to the police killing of George Floyd, according to a prosecutor.

In a press conference, Howard said the students were “extremely innocent.”

On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Howard joined host Rose Scott to discuss what’s next for these officers and the students involved.
