The Georgia Lottery has reached a new jackpot.

Gov. Brian Kemp announced on Monday that the Georgia Lottery Corporation has raised over $30 billion for education since its launch in 1993.

The lottery funding supports statewide education programs, including the Georgia Pre-K Program for essential early learning, and the HOPE Scholarship and Grant programs for higher education opportunities. State officials say the former has benefited over 2.2 million four-year-olds, while the latter has provided HOPE Scholarships for over 2.25 million college students in Georgia.
