A Morehouse College senior has been selected as one of three 2026 Rhodes Scholarship recipients for the West Africa constituency.

Senior Aniaba Jean-Baptiste N’guessan, an Abidjan native and a triple major in economics, mathematics and computer science, is the sixth Morehouse student to earn the prestigious honor, the school announced Wednesday.

Established in 1902, the Rhodes Scholarship is the world’s oldest international postgraduate award. The opportunity has earned N’guessan a fully funded graduate studies education in economics at the University of Oxford to fuel his future career as an economist-entrepreneur.
