Grandmother fulfills her dream of graduating from CAU as a fashion design major
Ebony Chappel is a 48-year-old mother of three and a grandmother of six. She’s also a non-traditional college student.
A television commercial inspired Chappel to apply for her dream school, Clark Atlanta University. She left high school more than 27 years ago to work full-time to provide for her family. Now, Chappel is a part of CAU’s Class of 2024.
On Thursday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Chappel talks with show host Rose Scott about her journey from designing outfits for her and her three children, to creating a business and majoring in fashion design.
