Holiday Travel Chaos Ahead After ‘Nightmare’ Power Outage At Atlanta Airport

Most travelers at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport were patient Monday morning as the airport worked to recover from Sunday’s power outage. Lines in the ticketing and baggage areas were a bit backed up, but security lines were moving. Passengers are being urged to check with airlines for flight information.

The nation’s air-travel system struggled to get back on schedule after a weekend power outage at the Atlanta airport, the world’s busiest, forced the cancellation of over 1,400 flights just days before the start of the Christmas rush.
