Living Walls is presenting an arts outreach initiative called Start Talking. Stop HIV.

For the next three weekends there are opportunities to talk and dance and learn how people are living with HIV.

The project includes seven panel discussions and two mural unveilings focused on encouraging the community to join the conversation around HIV/AIDS and prevention strategies.

The panel discussion, “¿Estamos Bien?” a conversation about HIV and Latinx Health” hosted by La Choloteca and Community Estrella takes place tomorrow at 6 p.m. at 7 Stages Threater.

Topics to be discussed include:
–  How has religion and the cultural norms within our own communities impacted the stigma of HIV, sex and desire?
– What else is creating or contributing to the tradeoffs between Latinx health and wellbeing for safety and survival?
– How can the community mobilize change for a future that celebrates all Latinx- regardless of their HIV status, documents, race, or other marginalization?
