The 2026 FIFA World Cup is just months away from kicking off matches in Atlanta. As the metro area prepares to host a surge of hundreds of thousands of visitors, the city’s transit will play an integral role.
Major upgrades are underway for MARTA’s bus and rail services, with slated completion dates long before the summer soccer matches.
One rolling out in March is a new ride-share experience called MARTA Reach. That on-demand service will use MARTA vans to offer shared rides and easier connections to bus routes. Officials say the vans will pull up in 12 designated zones across Atlanta.
