Atlanta ranks highest in the U.S. for automated calls, according to Youmail’s Robocall Index. More than 183 million robocalls were made to 404, 678 and 770 area code numbers in June.

Block the numbers yourself.
If the robocalls are coming from known numbers, then you can block them through your phone. All you have to do is go to recent calls and save the number to your contacts. Once it’s saved, you can block the number. How to block the caller differs based on the type of operating system you have.
Auto-reject numbers you don’t know.
Another way to block unknown numbers is to use technology that will filter out automatic calls. Systems that make callers put in a number will weed out the robocalls from human callers. One of those services is CenturyLink’s “No Solicitation” service.
Don’t talk to unknown callers.
Avoid answering calls from numbers you don’t know. Instead, determine who is calling based on the message they left, according to Consumer Reports. If you do answer and engage with the caller, they might continue to call you since they’d know it’s a working line.
Get on the National Do Not Call Registry.
It’s free to add your phone number to the National Do Not Call Registry that is through the Federal Trade Commission. This will make it so that it is illegal for telemarketers to call you, but other groups, such as charities, political groups and surveyors can still give you a call. On the site, you can also report unwanted calls.
