A Hinesville resident who allegedly threatened to kill Georgia Veterans Affairs employees has been sentenced to 70 months in prison, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Georgia announced Monday.
In December 2024, Alexis Beatles, 44, allegedly dialed a Department of Veterans Affairs hotline and made demands to the operator that involved killing federal employees and others.
During the call, authorities say that Beatles threatened to crash his car into the Savannah VA Clinic, to “destroy” U.S. citizens, to rig his home with explosives to kill any police officers that came to his home and to kill the children of any officers who attempted to arrest him, among several other threats.
