Claudette Leak, the spokesperson for Concerned Citizens in Opposition to Greenhaven, says she lived in Southern DeKalb for more than 50 years and many of her neighbors are engaged seniors who care about what happens to their community.

On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Leak told program host Rose Scott that no government is perfect, and her group is in opposition to the DeKalb Cityhood Movement.

Leak cited the cityhood’s lack of transparency, use of an outdated feasibility study and a lack of proposed offered services as just a few of the reasons members of her group are against South DeKalb becoming a city.
