Storms Level Several Fayette County Mobile Homes
Dozens of people are without homes in Fayette County after a storm took down trees and toppled homes at a mobile home park in Tyrone.
Storms came through the Pines Mobile Home Park Wednesday, WSB-TV reports. A Fayette County Fire and EMS spokesman says more than 25 mobile homes were damaged and power was knocked out.
About 60 people were displaced Wednesday night.
The National Weather Service used tools to survey the damage and representatives say the winds could have been up to 90 miles an hour.
On Wednesday night crews remained at the site working to restore the power and remove debris. The Red Cross is helping the residents who were displaced.
