The 1946 classic film “It’s a Wonderful Life” lives among our most treasured Christmas holiday traditions, made famous for its touching holiday message to be grateful for all blessings, both big and small. The timeless film, directed by Frank Capra, starred Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed.

Now, Stage Door Theater has produced a radio drama rendition that takes audiences back in time to see theater in a nostalgic light. “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” at Stage Door Theater runs through Dec. 17.

In this interview, “City Lights” producer Summer Evans is joined by director Candy McLellan to speak more about the play.

“We have to not forget that the impact we make on others is so large, and sometimes it’s hard to see that, but we matter,” McLellan says.

Stage Door Theatre’s production of “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” is at the Dunwoody Cultural Arts Center through Dec. 17, and more information is available here.
