In the realm of puppetry, the Muppets reign supreme in popularity and longevity. Many of us either grew up with Jim Henson’s muppets or engaged with them as adults. And some younger audiences are discovering the Muppets for the first time with the new “Muppets Mayhem” series streaming on Disney+.
The charming puppet troupe has close ties with Atlanta since several of their originals live in the permanent collection at the Center for Puppetry Arts, gifted by the Henson family.
In this interview, “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes spoke with museum director Kelsey Fritz about the collection.
