Valerie Jackson hosted WABE’s literary show “Between the Lines” for several years, where she spoke with notable authors and writers about their works.
“Writers, once we finish an interview, they say to me, ‘You actually read the book!’ And I was compulsive about that. I couldn’t skip a page or even a paragraph,” said Jackson.

Jackson was married to the late Atlanta Mayor Maynard H. Jackson Jr., for over 25 years, and they had two daughters together, Valerie-Amanda and Alexandra.
