Why Lou Reed’s Music Spans Time & Place: A Talk with Paste Magazine’s Bonnie Stiernberg

Legendary rocker Lou Reed’s death inspired a flood of tributes from music fans, and from musicians themselves.  

Reed, who was 71, remained a relevant force until his death.  

Bonnie Stiernberg is the music editor at Decatur-based Paste magazine.  She says Reed will continue to influence musicians who are well outside his New York base, and much younger than he was.  

Stiernberg spoke with WABE’s Denis O’Hayer.
