For years, the Avondale-based screen-printing company Methane Studios thrived at the intersection of visual art and rock music.

Founded in 1998 by Ohio-born artists Robert Lee and Mark McDevitt, Methane is known for its hand-crafted work, from pencil to print.

After having created gig posters for some of the genre’s most elite artists, including Wilco, The Black Keys, Pavement, The White Stripes, and Patti Smith, the duo now leans into art that does not bear band names, which aims their work towards a wider audience.
