Three Georgia schools have been named among the top 100 national universities in the United States, according to U.S. News and World Report.
The list, released Tuesday, uses data from over 1,700 U.S. colleges and universities to rank the institutions based on academic quality and alumni success. Up to 17 factors were analyzed in the evaluation, including graduation rates, peer assessment, first-year retention rates and financial resources.

Ranked at No. 24 is Emory University, which holds a four-year graduation rate of 81%. Other factors that contributed to the institution’s top 30 spot include its 10% acceptance rate, a 9:1 student-to-faculty ratio and a median salary for graduates of $74,980 six years after graduation.
