IrishFest Atlanta Brings Ireland To The Peach State

IrishFest Atlanta is billed as the place “where Ireland meets Georgia.” The two-day festival will feature live music, dancing, and plenty of different workshops celebrating the Emerald Isle.

IrishFest Atlanta was launched in November 2013 to promote the culture of Ireland through the country’s traditional music, song, dance and language. The vision of IrishFest Atlanta’s founders was to create a weekend of cultural performances, lectures and workshops in a festive environment appealing to community members of all ages with varying familiarity of all things Irish.

The festival runs Nov. 8-9 in Roswell. John Maschinot, who plays the Uilleann pipes, will be among the performers. He joined “City Lights” along with Teresa Finley, the chair and founder of IrishFest.
