For Chamblee Police Chief Michael Dieppa, police work runs in the family, with both his father and son in the line of duty. He’s dedicated 30 years of his life to law enforcement – all spent with the Miami Police Department in Florida.

Then, in October 2023, Dieppa took the role of Chamblee’s top officer, now overseeing a diverse population of more than 32,000 people in an area of almost 8 square miles.

Dieppa started his position with several goals. Among them, to be innovative and a leader in how they recruit and train officers.
