Southwest Atlanta resident LaMiiko Moore used to rely heavily on her car to get around. Now, she’s saving time, gas money and enjoying riding around town with her daughter on her cargo electric bike.

Moore purchased her bike last fall after receiving a rebate through the Atlanta E-bike Rebate Program.

The program, which launched in 2024, aimed to eliminate financial barriers to e-bike ownership, cut transportation costs, and encourage residents to lessen their car-dependent travel. The program was funded by a $1 million investment from the Atlanta City Council and administered by the Atlanta Regional Commission in partnership with Propel ATL.
