Saturday’s nationwide “Hands Off!” protests saw as many as 3 million people demonstrate against the Trump Administration’s current actions. People gathered in big cities and small towns, including several protests in Georgia.

On today’s “Closer Look,” show host Rose Scott spoke with some of the local organizers of the Atlanta “Hands Off!” protest, Laura Judge, a communications official with “Hands Off!” and Indivisible North Metro Atlanta, and John Morris, the secretary and treasurer for 50501 Georgia, Inc.

They discussed the unifying message that activated thousands of people to march in Atlanta. Part of the conversation also focused on the next steps for their movement, how to address elected officials, the reportedly low turnout of Generation Z and the caution some Black constituents took in participating in the protests.
