An 11-year-old DeKalb County student is experiencing the “sweet spell of success” for the second consecutive year.

Sarv Dharavane was among 20 students competing in the 64th Annual Georgia Association of Educators (GAE) State Spelling Bee on March 21 at Georgia State University.

After 14 rounds of competition and over 250 words, it was “Compas” – the spelling of the word, that is – that led Dharavane to be crowned the state’s spelling champion for the second consecutive year.
