A nonprofit that pays for travel costs and other expenses for people seeking abortions is pushing its message across metro Atlanta and Georgia — and already seeing a spike in demand.

Officials with The Brigid Alliance tell WABE’s “Morning Edition” they’re trying to reach patients who can’t seek care because of Georgia’s restrictive abortion law, which bans most abortions after six weeks into a pregnancy.

Now giant billboards and trucks with mobile billboards are being driven around the city, including outside of universities and crisis pregnancy centers.
