Rainfall began in metro Atlanta Saturday evening as an ice storm continued closing in that could knock out power and make travel impossible through Monday morning.
“We’re expecting a very significant ice storm … perhaps the biggest ice storm that we’ve expected in over a decade,” said state meteorologist Will Lanxton at a Saturday press briefing.
