No-cost Georgia BRIGHT solar program launches in Georgia

On Monday, Georgia BRIGHT, a statewide initiative to deliver communities affordable solar energy and economic opportunity, announced the launch of a program that will offer rooftop solar arrays at no cost to Georgia households earning 80% of their area’s median income.

Updated Friday, Aug.8, at 7:00 p.m. – Since publication of this story, it’s been reported that the EPA is terminating Solar for All grants. Georgia BRIGHT received notice that its grant was terminated, but says it will “use every avenue legally available to us to regain access to the funds.”
