Atlanta’s dance scene is vibrant and eclectic, and we are honored to highlight some of the many local dancers that move us with their movements in our ongoing series “Speaking of Dance.”
For this edition, we highlight Xavier Lewis, director of Atlanta-based dance company Via Uni. In this segment, Lewis was dancing to his own original composition titled “Bleached Matter.
“My dance focus is always based and rooted in hip-hop. Over the years, I’ve kind of cultivated more of a creative movement of my own style but it’s always hip-hop based,” says Lewis.
