Last fall, the Atlanta-based chamber chorus Coro Vocati performed a concert called “Dear World” with music inspired by letters children wrote addressing their home planet. A new concert will be performed by the chorus on March 11 and 12 called “Dear People.”

The repertoire honors the late Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Conductor and Music Director Robert Shaw, who founded the ASO chorus and inspired generations of musicians.

Coro Vocati artistic director John Dickson joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to talk more about the upcoming concert. Music selections in this interview were not performed by Coro Vocati, but they were directed by Robert Shaw.
