According to a report by Georgia State University and Rutgers University, three corporate companies own more than 19,000 metro Atlanta single-family homes.

Following up on host Rose Scott’s previous conversation with geographer Taylor Shelton, on Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” we hear from Brian An, an assistant professor of public policy and finance at Georgia Tech.

Professor An highlights the policies that made this situation possible. He also discusses the effects of mass-corporate homeownership and offers recommendations to remedy them.
