One Community
WABE is committed to delivering the news and telling the most important and compelling community stories. Recently, those stories have been about the most vulnerable people in our community and the organizations leaning in – often heroically – to help them.
On each day of the radio member drive, a donation to WABE works two-fold: (1) to fund fact-based reporting and (2) to support Atlanta’s first responders, frontline workers and organizations who provide a safety net to those most in need.
We are honored to partner with six organizations: Atlanta Community Food Bank, Giving Kitchen, Meals on Wheels Atlanta, Piedmont Healthcare Foundation, St. Vincent de Paul Georgia, and YMCA of Metro Atlanta.
Atlanta Community Food Bank
Your donation funds fact-based reporting and provides four meals for a senior, family or individual in our community who needs it the most. WABE’s partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank is made possible by listeners like you.
Giving Kitchen
Your donation funds fact-based reporting and helps a food service worker in crisis keep the utilities on for another day. WABE’s partnership with Giving Kitchen is made possible by listeners like you and Sysco Atlanta.
Meals on Wheels
Your donation funds fact-based reporting and ensures two nutritious meals are delivered to a senior, along with food for their pet. WABE’s partnership with Meals on Wheels Atlanta is made possible by listeners like you and Lowe’s Home Improvement.
Piedmont Healthcare Foundation
Your donation funds fact-based reporting and helps provide a kit of personal protective equipment to a frontline worker. WABE’s partnership is made possible by the Piedmont Healthcare Foundation’s COVID-19 fund and listeners like you.
St. Vincent de Paul Georgia
Your donation funds fact-based reporting and means that a low-income essential worker will receive a week’s worth of transportation assistance. WABE’s partnership with St. Vincent de Paul Georgia is made possible by listeners like you.
YMCA of Metro Atlanta
Your donation funds fact-based reporting and covers a week’s supply of learning materials for the children of frontline workers. WABE’s partnership with YMCA of Metro Atlanta is made possible by listeners like you and Lowe’s Home Improvement.
