Winter Jones is part of Spelman College’s largest-ever graduating class, consisting of 694 students. The standout graduate is also one step closer to becoming an aerospace engineer.
While earning her degree in math, Jones became an astronaut scholar and worked with NASA on reducing emissions from supersonic jets.
As a featured guest for “Closer Look’s” Class of 2025 graduation series, Jones spoke with show host Rose Scott about her academic journey. That path included navigating hybrid classes during the pandemic and being the first Spelmanite to receive an Astronaut Scholarship for two years.
