WABE’s Managing Editor Alex Helmick talks with Denis O’Hayer, who hosts WABE’s Political Breakfast, about Georgia staying in the spotlight as voters are set to go to the polls for a Jan. 5 runoff election.

Both of Georgia’s U.S. Senate races are headed to a runoff: Republican Kelly Loeffler versus Democrat Raphael Warnock, and Republican David Perdue versus Democrat Jon Ossoff.

O’Hayer and Helmick break down the differences among the candidates vying for Georgia’s two U.S. Senate seats.

And O’Hayer and Helmick look at big names with Georgia ties that may be part of the Biden administration.

That includes Stacey Abrams, who is being credited for the huge turnout in the state among Democrats that has helped make Georgia a battleground state.
